Facebook will pay $725 million to its users as settlement for privacy lawsuit

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Facebook agreed to pay $725 million to users who had an active Facebook account in the United States between May 2007 and December 2022.

Users have until the 25th of August to file a claim for a portion of the settlement. The amount of payouts will be determined by how many users submit claims and how long each user has had a Facebook account.

To file a claim, go to https://facebookuserprivacysettlement.com/ and enter their name, address, email address, proof of U.S. residency, and Facebook activity during that time period.

However, Facebook refused to admit any wrongdoing and instead issued the following statement:

We pursued a settlement because it is best for our community and shareholders -Spokesperson for the Company[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
