Following their impressive victory against New Zealand in the last match, the Three Lions are gearing up to pose a tough challenge for Afghanistan, who have yet to secure a win in CWC 23.

England, a cricket powerhouse, enters the tournament as the favorites. Their aggressive batting style and strong batting lineup have made them formidable contenders in previous World Cup events.

Despite facing challenges back at home, Afghanistan has risen through the ranks of international cricket. The team boasts talented seamers and power hitters, with Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi expected to play crucial roles in Afghanistan’s strategy to challenge more established teams.

England and Afghanistan have met only twice in the 50-overs format, with England winning both encounters in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups.

The pitch at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium offers favorable conditions for spinners as the game progresses, while also being batting-friendly.
