Before his fourth birthday, Turki Khaled Al Sunaid, now 36, tragically lost his mother. While his mother was in Egypt visiting her family, his father had terminated their marriage and taken young Turki away.

According to Al Arabiya, Turki has had no touch with his mother since that day because of this emotional event.

Turki’s life was marred by tragedy, since he lost his father when he was only 16 years old. Then he went to live with his grandmother. However, after mom died, he moved in with an elderly aunt until the age of 28, when he married.

Despite his difficulties, Sunaid had a strong desire to discover his mother. He sought assistance from the Egyptian embassy in Riyadh, but ultimately opted to travel to Egypt on his own.

The Saudi embassy in Cairo assisted Sunaid in discovering his mother after 32 years apart. He discovered key paperwork mentioning his parents in the embassy, and with the assistance of Egyptian authorities visiting numerous homes, they eventually found her.

Turki’s mother was contacted by the Saudi Embassy, and they were blissfully reunited after a few chats.

Turki’s mother, Abeer Hanafi, who resides in Alexandria, said she had also tried to contact her son, but his father’s family refused her access. Turki’s father’s family had informed her that his mother had died, she added.

Despite her efforts, they would not let her speak to him. Turki also attempted to contact his mother through relatives but was unsuccessful, so he requested assistance from the Saudi embassy.

He thanked the consulate for assisting him in finding his mother. He intends to bring his mother to Riyadh and will continue to visit her in Egypt until she relocates.

He added that he will offer her happiness and make up for the time they were separated, as he had always felt that something was lacking in his life without her.
