Earthquake jolts Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other Pakistani cities

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – On Sunday, a powerful earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale strikes Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Swat, and other places in Pakistan.

Tremors were also felt in Swat, Peshawar, Batgram, Dir Bala, Swabi, Mardan, and several other places in southern and northern Pakistan, prompting residents to flee their homes. So far, initial reports indicate no damage.

The earthquake’s epicentre was reported to be roughly 220 km deep in the Hindu Kush range on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
