YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, is set to appear before a Lahore district court on Friday following the completion of his two-day physical remand in a case tied to the promotion of online gambling apps.
Earlier, the court had approved a two-day remand, turning down the investigating officer’s request for five days to recover electronic devices and gain access to social media accounts allegedly connected to the case. The court ordered Ducky Bhai’s production again on September 5.
The YouTuber was arrested by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) last month at Lahore Airport while reportedly attempting to travel abroad. His name had already been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL).
During the hearing, Ducky Bhai expressed satisfaction with the ongoing investigation, stating he respected the authorities and had no objection to further inquiry.
The FIR, filed by NCCIA under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), alleges that he promoted gambling and betting applications that scammed users out of millions. Registered on August 17, the case includes charges of electronic forgery, fraud, spamming, spoofing, cheating, and promoting trade-linked prizes. This is his third remand extension since being taken into custody.
