One of Pakistan’s top YouTubers, Ducky Bhai, remains in custody following his arrest on August 16, 2025, by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) at Lahore Airport. The news shocked fans and the wider online community, as Saad-ur-Rahman, known as Ducky Bhai, commands millions of followers across social media platforms.
The FIR against him includes charges of money laundering, promoting online gambling, and sharing obscene material. Investigators allege that he used his digital influence to market illegal betting apps and attract users to unlawful investment schemes. Authorities also claim to have found WhatsApp data and other digital evidence pointing to large-scale financial transactions.
Advocate Mustansar Nazar Gagh stated that, based on the FIR, Ducky Bhai could face up to seven years in prison and fines of Rs10 million. Some charges are non-bailable, though certain sections might allow for bail, leaving his legal fate uncertain.
Meanwhile, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has intensified its crackdown on influencers showcasing lavish lifestyles, setting up a “Lifestyle Monitoring Cell” to compare online content with declared incomes. Over 100,000 individuals have been flagged, sparking speculation that figures like Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi may face further scrutiny.
