Share

As part of its efforts to become a leader in the $111 billion AI market, Dubai has established the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), a dedicated AI hub.

The centre, located in AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers, will assist government entities in integrating futuristic technology across numerous industries.

The launch was announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council and Dubai Future Foundation.

He emphasised Dubai’s commitment to AI and remaining at the forefront of global technological innovation.

The DCAI will teach 1,000 government professionals from over 30 different organisations in generative AI. In addition, the centre intends to develop experimental projects, improve government services, boost employee efficiency, and assist local and worldwide advanced technology entrepreneurs.

The Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Media Council, and Dubai Digital Authority will engage with necessary agencies to oversee the implementation of DCAI’s goals.

This comprises the creation of AI-related legislation, the attraction of top worldwide technology solutions, and the development of indigenous talent.

The establishment of the Dubai Centre for AI is in line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s goal for Dubai to be a global leader in preparing for new possibilities and creating the future.

It comes as the generative AI industry is anticipated to increase from $10 billion in 2022 to $110.8 billion by 2030, with generative AI accounting for 10% of all data produced by 2025.
