Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to visit Bangladesh on August 23. According to diplomatic sources, the DPM will leave for Dhaka tomorrow morning to begin his official trip.
During his stay, DPM Ishaq Dar will hold important meetings with Bangladesh’s leadership. These meetings are expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties and regional cooperation between the two countries. The visit highlights Pakistan’s efforts to engage more closely with its South Asian neighbors.
After completing his engagements in Dhaka, the DPM will travel to Saudi Arabia the following day.
In Jeddah, Ishaq Dar will attend a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers. The gathering will bring together foreign ministers from OIC member states to discuss pressing issues in the Muslim world.
One of the main topics on the agenda will be the situation in Palestine. The meeting is expected to focus on recent Israeli actions and their impact on Palestinian civilians. Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s viewpoint and call for unified action from Muslim countries.
This two-country visit reflects Pakistan’s broader diplomatic goals. It aims to boost bilateral relations in South Asia and support collective efforts on international Muslim concerns.
Officials say the DPM’s participation in the OIC summit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to standing with Palestine and promoting unity among Muslim nations.
More updates are expected during and after the visit, including outcomes from the meetings in Dhaka and Jeddah.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to issue a formal statement once the visit concludes.
