Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the legendary cricket captain who led India to victory in the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and Champions Trophy, has outpaced Bollywood icons like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the brand endorsement race for 2024.
Despite retiring from international cricket on August 15, 2020, Dhoni remains immensely popular, especially in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he continues to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Under his leadership, CSK has won the IPL title five times, and the franchise has retained him for 4 crore INR (approximately $481,927 USD) for the upcoming season.

According to a report by YAM Media Research, Dhoni secured 42 brand endorsements in the first half of 2024, surpassing Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan by eight endorsements. This achievement cements his position as one of the most influential figures in the endorsement industry.
In 2023, Dhoni stepped down from his captaincy role at CSK, handing over the reins to Ruturaj Gaikwad, although the team did not qualify for the playoffs under Gaikwad’s leadership. Nonetheless, Dhoni’s enduring popularity in the endorsement space continues to be a testament to his widespread influence and appeal.
