Islamabad – June 26, 2025:
A Junaid Jamshed (J.) retail outlet in Islamabad’s PWD area has been sealed following a court order due to unpaid dues owed to the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).

The closure was carried out under Section 83 of the Land Revenue Act, 1967, on the directive of the Assistant Collector (Grade I). A notice posted at the store states that the property has been distrained over non-payment and will remain sealed until further instructions from the court.

Dated June 26, 2025, the official notice is attached to the store’s glass railing and clearly identifies the business name “Junaid Jamshed (J.)” handwritten in red ink. It cautions the public against conducting any business or transactions related to the sealed premises, warning of potential legal consequences.
This action highlights the government’s ongoing drive to enforce compliance with mandatory welfare contributions for employees. EOBI payments are legally required to support pensions and benefits for private-sector workers. Non-compliance can lead to legal measures, including property seizure.
J., one of Pakistan’s most recognized fashion brands, has not yet commented publicly on the sealing of its PWD outlet. The incident is expected to spark discussion around legal accountability and transparency in the country’s retail industry, especially among major brands.
Authorities may pursue further action if the dues remain unpaid or if other branches are found in violation of EOBI regulations.
