[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Najam Sethi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Management Committee, has urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take the first step towards normalisation by crossing the border to play the Asia Cup in Pakistan.
Sethi stated that they have been told to allow the Asia Cup to be held in a neutral venue; however, the World Cup will be held in India.
“Our contention is that India should make the first move and come over to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup,” he said, assuring that the Men in Green will undoubtedly travel to India once normalisation is complete.

Sethi’s remarks came in response to a question regarding Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s forthcoming visit to India to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s meeting scheduled in Goa May 4-5.
It should be noted that soured political relations between Pakistan and India have complicated matters and cricket finds itself caught in the geopolitical crossfire between the feuding neighbours, who play each other only in multi-team events.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
