Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced government jobs for Abdul Razzaq Khilji and his brother in recognition of their courage and timely assistance to Lady Doctor Mahnoor Nasar, who was injured in an acid attack at Civil Hospital Quetta.
The chief minister met the two young men at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and praised them for demonstrating bravery, humanity and selflessness during a dangerous situation.
According to reports, Abdul Razzaq Khilji risked his own safety to assist Dr Mahnoor after the attack, providing immediate help when the doctor was in distress.
CM Bugti praises brothers for courage
During the meeting, Sarfraz Bugti said that citizens who step forward to help others during difficult circumstances deserve recognition and appreciation.
He described Abdul Razzaq Khilji and his brother as responsible and compassionate members of society, saying their actions provided a positive example for other young people.
The chief minister emphasized that the provincial government values individuals who put themselves at risk to save lives and support people facing emergencies.
He said the courage and humanitarian spirit demonstrated by the brothers reflected the kind of social responsibility that should be encouraged across the province.
Government announces employment
In recognition of their efforts, Chief Minister Bugti announced government employment for Abdul Razzaq Khilji and his brother.
The announcement was presented as an acknowledgment of their service and courage during the incident involving Dr Mahnoor Nasar.
The brothers thanked the chief minister for the recognition and employment offer, describing the gesture as an honour. They also appreciated the government’s response and support following the incident.
Dr Mahnoor Nasar acid attack
The recognition follows the acid attack on Lady Doctor Mahnoor Nasar at Civil Hospital Quetta.
The doctor was seriously injured in the attack while she was performing her duties at the hospital. Abdul Razzaq intervened and helped the injured doctor despite the danger involved.
Earlier, Chief Minister Bugti had also announced that Abdul Razzaq would receive a civil award in recognition of his bravery and humanitarian response during the attack.
The incident drew widespread condemnation and renewed concerns about the safety of healthcare workers, particularly those performing their duties in public hospitals.
