China’s move to extend visa-free travel aligns with its broader efforts to ease visa restrictions for tourists worldwide. Recently, China signed a permanent visa-free agreement with Thailand, effective from March of the current year.
Additionally, Beijing has extended visa exemption privileges to 12 countries, aiming to boost tourism. Under this arrangement, eligible travelers from these countries can stay in China for up to 15 days without needing to apply for a visa.
The 12 countries benefiting from this relaxation include France, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg. This extension of visa exemption is set to remain in effect until the end of 2025, offering tourists from these countries greater convenience when visiting China.
