Chongqing University, one of China’s leading academic institutions, has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC). This prestigious scholarship is designed to cultivate future international Chinese language educators, offering students the chance to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or non-degree programs, with all major expenses covered.

Scholarship Benefits
Successful candidates will receive the following benefits:

- Free on-campus accommodation
- Comprehensive medical insurance
- Monthly living allowances:
- RMB 3,000 for Master’s degree students
- RMB 2,500 for Bachelor’s and non-degree students
Programs Offered
The scholarship covers the following programs:
- Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education (3 years; first 2 years funded, 3rd year self-funded)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (4 years)

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, Pakistani applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens aged 16–35 (up to 45 years for in-service teachers)
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Maintain good academic performance and conduct
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting Chinese language education
- Hold the required HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) and HSKK (Oral Test) scores, which vary by program (minimum HSK Level 3 to Level 5)
Important Deadlines
- For September 2025 intake: Applications must be submitted by May 11, 2025 (Beijing Time)
- For March 2026 intake: Applications must be submitted by October 31, 2025 (Beijing Time)
