China Announces 2025-26 Scholarships for Pakistani and Kashmiri Students

Chinese Government 2025-26 Scholarships Program for Pakistani and AJK Students

The Chinese government has announced its scholarship program for Pakistani students and those from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) for the 2025-26 academic year. This program, facilitated by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and supported by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, provides opportunities for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies at Chinese universities.

Application Process and Deadlines

  • Deadline: Applications must be submitted by Monday, December 9.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must have valid HAT or USAT scores:
    • HAT (obtained on or after December 9, 2022)
    • USAT (obtained on or after December 9, 2023)
    • A minimum score of 50 out of 100 is required.
  • HEC Application Portal: Apply online at scholarship.hec.gov.pk under the “Learning Opportunities Abroad” section. Ensure you print and sign your submitted application.
  • CSC Portal: Submit your application under Category A (Agency No. 5861) at campuschina.org.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Pakistani or AJK nationals only. Dual nationality holders are ineligible.
  • Health: Applicants must be in good health.
  • Educational Requirements & Age Limits:
    • Undergraduate/Bachelor: Intermediate or A-levels (12 years of education); age under 25 years.
    • Master’s: Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education); age under 35 years.
    • PhD: Master’s degree (MS/MPhil); age under 40 years.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Applicants must meet the academic and language requirements of the Chinese university they are applying to.
    • Applicants cannot hold other scholarships concurrently.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Tuition Fee: Covers education, administration, health insurance, and student activities.
  • Accommodation: Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy.
  • Stipend: Provided as per Chinese Government Scholarship policy.
  • Travel Expenses: To be borne by the applicants.
