Chilas Bus Fire From Gunfire Kills 8, Injures 16

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Nine individuals lost their lives, and 25 were injured in a “terrorist” assault on a passenger bus in Chilas, Gilgit-Baltistan. The incident, considered a “cowardly act,” occurred at 6:30 pm in Chilas’ Hudur area, involving gunfire and a subsequent collision with a truck.

Diamer DC Captain Arif Ahmad confirmed the casualties and stated that the victims hailed from various regions in Pakistan. Two Pakistan Army soldiers lost their lives in the attack. The regional government condemned the act, initiated an investigation, and pledged to bring the perpetrators to justice.

GB Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan expressed solidarity with the affected individuals and emphasized the government’s commitment to maintaining peace in the region.
