PSL 10: Quetta Gladiators’ Dinesh Chandimal Injured During Playoff Against Islamabad United
Quetta Gladiators’ batter Dinesh Chandimal suffered an injury during the first playoff match of the Pakistan Super League Season 10 (PSL X) against Islamabad United, held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday.
According to sources, Chandimal sustained a muscle strain while batting, which ruled him out of the fielding session. As a result, Haseebullah Khan took over the wicketkeeping duties for the Gladiators.
The nature and severity of Chandimal’s injury are yet to be confirmed by team officials.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s newly-appointed head coach Mike Hesson made headlines earlier the same day by making major changes to the squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. He removed Abbas Afridi, Sufyan Muqeem, and Haider Ali from the list initially finalized by the selection committee, replacing them with Faheem Ashraf and Hussain Talat, while Naseem Shah was retained.
