The comedian, whose real name is Kashif Rana, was visiting the area to connect with his fans after announcing his entry into politics and decision to contest in the upcoming 2024 national elections.
In a widely circulated video, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan is seen walking down the street while individuals in the crowd insulted and laughed at him.
Despite the comedian shouting back at the mob and telling them to be quiet, the harassment persisted, leading to a visibly upset Chahat Fateh Ali Khan reportedly breaking down and shedding tears. Netizens expressed dismay at the public’s disrespectful and unwarranted behavior.

Adding to his woes, the election committee rejected Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s nomination papers. In a video upload, he disclosed that the rejection was based on his dual nationality.

Despite this setback, Chahat remained resolute in his political aspirations, indicating his intention to seek approval for his nomination papers.
