BYD has gained fame for its advancements in electric vehicle production, surpassing global competitors to become the top seller of new energy vehicles. The company reached a milestone of 8 million vehicles just over three years after producing its 1 millionth NEV in May 2021. The upcoming launch in Pakistan will feature BYD’s latest models.

Aly Khan, CEO of Mega Motor Co., expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating it aligns with the company’s vision to boost the national economy and address climate change impacts. He emphasized the importance of supporting the government’s goal to increase new energy vehicles and reduce fossil fuel reliance. This partnership is seen as a significant step for Pakistan’s automotive industry and its push toward sustainability.

In addition to introducing BYD’s vehicles, the partnership plans to develop a comprehensive charging infrastructure, crucial for the widespread adoption of NEVs. This effort supports Pakistan’s objectives to cut its carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency in transportation.
