[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]One of the primary issues facing the world economy now is inflation. Due to the severe macroeconomic difficulties and flooding that Pakistan endured in 2022, the situation there is considerably worse.

As a result, there has been historically high inflation and currency depreciation, both of which have had a significant negative impact on citizens’ real incomes. Those with low and intermediate incomes, particularly those who are salaried, continue to feel the effects of high commodity prices and rising electricity/fuel prices as high inflation erodes their purchasing power.

The Bank of Punjab has launched a number of initiatives to assist lower cadre bank employees in light of the current economic scenario. The Bank of Punjab has declared a minimum gross monthly wage of Rs37,500 for all workers as a first step. This raise is consistent with the bank’s dedication to maintaining a just and equal workplace.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
