The year 2026 is set to be an exciting one for Bollywood fans, following the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar in 2025. Several high-budget films are scheduled to release, promising to bring new energy to the Indian film industry.
According to Indian media reports, six major films lined up for 2026 have a combined production budget of around Rs2,080 crore. These films feature top actors and large-scale productions, creating high anticipation among cinema-goers.
Topping the list is Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor as the Hindu deity Lord Ram. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for the hit Dangal, the first installment alone has cost approximately Rs900 crore, with the full franchise budget estimated at Rs4,000 crore. The film is scheduled for release during Diwali.
Next is Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated film King, which has an estimated budget of Rs300 crore. The film is notable as Shah Rukh will share the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. It is directed by Siddharth Anand.
Third on the list is Dhurandhar 2, featuring Ranveer Singh. The movie, budgeted at around Rs250 crore, is set to release on March 19, 2026.
Fourth is Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. Scheduled for release on January 23, the film carries a budget of approximately Rs230 crore.
The fifth spot is shared by Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan and Love and War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt. Both films have budgets close to Rs200 crore each.
