The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced an increase in the Benazir Kafaalat Stipend for eligible families across Pakistan. The quarterly payment has been raised from Rs13,500 to Rs14,500 starting from the current payment cycle.
The update was shared by BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid in a video message. She asked beneficiaries to ensure they receive the full Benazir Kafaalat Stipend amount when collecting their payment.
According to officials, the increase aims to support low-income households facing rising living costs. The program provides financial assistance to millions of families across the country. The revised amount will now be distributed through the existing BISP payment channels.
Beneficiaries Advised to Check Full Payment
BISP officials urged beneficiaries to carefully check the payment they receive. Every eligible person should collect Rs14,500 as the Benazir Kafaalat Stipend for the current quarter.
Chairperson Rubina Khalid stressed that no deductions are allowed. Beneficiaries should immediately report if they receive less than the official amount. Authorities want to ensure transparency in the distribution process.
How to File a Complaint About Deductions
Beneficiaries who face deductions can file a complaint at their nearest BISP tehsil office. The complaint should be submitted to the assistant director or another responsible official.
Applicants will need to request a complaint form related to payment deductions. After receiving the form, they must provide important details.
The required information includes:
- Full name
- CNIC number
- Mobile phone number
- Location where the payment was received
- Details about the deduction
Officials said each complaint will be properly investigated. If the claim is verified, the bank involved will take legal action against the responsible agent. The deducted amount will also be returned to the beneficiary.
Helpline and Documents for Assistance
BISP has also provided support options for beneficiaries seeking help. People can contact the official helpline at 0800-26477 for guidance or information.
Applicants visiting a BISP office should bring their original CNIC and their registered mobile phone number. These documents are necessary for verification and complaint processing.
Officials added that some beneficiaries may find it difficult to fill out the complaint form. In such cases, the office staff can provide assistance.
