The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the hosts of the Cricket World Cup 2023, has revealed an impressive lineup of performers for the closing ceremony preceding the highly anticipated final clash between cricket giants India and Australia. The monumental encounter will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, renowned as the world’s largest cricket stadium.

Despite earlier speculations suggesting a potential performance by Dua Lipa, the official schedule released by the BCCI features a different roster. The closing ceremony is structured into four distinct shows, promising a unique and captivating experience. The pre-match show includes the Suryakiran IAF Airshow immediately after the toss, followed by national anthems and the commencement of the game.

At the first innings break, Aditya Gadhvi, the talent behind Coke Studio India’s hit song “Khalasi,” will perform. The longer program at the innings break boasts a lineup of musical maestros, including Pritam Chakraborty, along with acclaimed singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh, and Tushar Joshi.

As the game progresses into the second innings break, spectators can expect a stunning display of lights and lasers, transforming the stadium into a visual spectacle.

Ahmedabad opted not to have an opening ceremony before the tournament started on October 5, and the closing ceremony announcement came just a day before the grand final. Rumors suggest that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart, either Anthony Albanese or the deputy, might attend the historic day.

The closing ceremony is poised not only to mark the end of an exceptional tournament but also to create enduring memories for cricket fans worldwide.
