Ghizlane Chebbak was questioned by a reporter from the British news outlet World Service regarding the sexual orientation of the team’s members and their quality of life in Morocco.

The press conference moderator swiftly cut off the question because she felt it to be overly political and asked that questions only be about football-related topics. A BBC spokeswoman afterwards issued a statement confirming the inappropriateness and stating that there was no purpose to injure or cause grief, despite the reporter’s insistence that the question was not political but rather about people.
The controversial question prompted dismay among some members of the Moroccan media present at the conference. Journalists Steph Yang from The Athletic and Shireen Ahmed from CBC Sports also criticised the reporter’s line of questioning, highlighting the potential harm it may cause to players and the ethical concerns surrounding such inquiries.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
