Security forces successfully carried out multiple intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Balochistan, killing 18 terrorists linked to extremist networks, officials confirmed.
The first operation took place in Ghazaband, a suburb of Quetta. Acting on credible intelligence, forces engaged terrorists hiding in the mountainous region. A fierce exchange of fire resulted in the deaths of 10 militants. Two security personnel sustained minor injuries during the operation.
Officials said the slain terrorists were involved in multiple attacks on civilians and security forces. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered, preventing further planned attacks. The militants were reportedly linked to Indian-sponsored extremist networks, according to initial findings.
In parallel Balochistan Operations, security forces conducted raids in Zhob and Sherani districts. Eight terrorists were neutralized after intense gunfights, and additional arms and ammunition were recovered. These actions helped prevent potential attacks on local communities.
Authorities emphasized that these Balochistan Operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the province. Military and law enforcement agencies reiterated their commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace and stability.
“These operations demonstrate the resolve of our forces to secure Pakistan by eliminating terrorists, their networks, and their external sponsors,” a security source stated.
Security officials further said intelligence-driven operations would continue across Balochistan and other provinces. They stressed that sustained action is crucial to prevent threats and maintain law and order in the region.
The successful Balochistan Operations, conducted in Ghazaband, Zhob, and Sherani, mark another significant step in Pakistan’s ongoing fight against terrorism. Officials assured the public that such coordinated efforts will continue until extremist threats are fully neutralized.
