The Balochistan government has introduced a new Green Line Bus Service in Quetta under the instructions of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, with the goal of improving public transportation and making healthcare facilities more accessible.
The service provides direct connectivity between key areas of the city and the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, ensuring safe, dependable, and low-cost travel for patients and their companions.
According to the provincial transport department, the buses will run every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with departures scheduled at 45-minute intervals to minimize waiting times.
The route covers several important locations, including BA Mall, FC Hospital, Nawan Killi, Zarghoonabad, Haji Manan, Labour Colony, Abdul Khaliq Chowk, Christian Colony, Highway Mart, Maleezai, Nasran, and NUST before reaching the cardiac institute.
Officials stated that the initiative is aimed at providing timely and comfortable transport for people seeking medical treatment. They further emphasized that the government is committed to expanding public welfare initiatives and strengthening the urban transport system.
The launch represents an important step toward improving mobility and enhancing access to healthcare services in Quetta.
