Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan and an essential part of the country’s unity and progress. His remarks came during a visit to the province, where he met local leaders, military personnel, and youth representatives.
General Munir praised the people of Balochistan for their resilience and patriotism, emphasizing that the region’s peace and development are key to Pakistan’s overall stability. He also reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to supporting government-led initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and employment opportunities in the province.
Highlighting ongoing security efforts, the Army Chief said that Pakistan’s armed forces will continue to ensure peace and counter any attempts to disrupt harmony in Balochistan. He urged the youth to take part in nation-building and to reject elements promoting division or extremism.
His visit reflects the military’s ongoing focus on integrating Balochistan into the national development framework and addressing the concerns of its people through dialogue and sustained engagement.
