In a recent rapid-fire interview with South African cricket legend AB de Villiers on his YouTube channel, Pakistan’s white-ball cricket captain Babar Azam shared personal insights and experiences from his cricket career.
Babar named Pat Cummins as the toughest bowler he has faced, a sentiment de Villiers agreed with, noting Cummins’ formidable skill. Despite being dismissed by Cummins a few times, Babar maintains strong averages against him—52.3 in Tests and 86 in ODIs, with Cummins not having dismissed him in T20Is.

When asked about his favorite batter to play with or against, Babar chose AB de Villiers. He also mentioned that he seeks advice from cricketing greats like Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and Joe Root to enhance his batting.
Off the field, Babar enjoys playing snooker and has tried cycling, though he found it challenging. He revealed that singer Atif Aslam is the most famous person in his contact list.
Looking ahead, Babar expressed a focus on living in the moment, stating, “Honestly, I’m just thinking day by day. I’m not thinking about where I am going. I’m just playing my game and enjoying myself every single time. I just love to play cricket.”
