Over 106 Test matches, he claimed 537 wickets at an exceptional average of 24, making him India’s second-highest wicket-taker in the format, behind Anil Kumble. Ashwin also scored 3503 runs in Tests, including six centuries and 14 half-centuries, placing him among an elite group of cricketers to achieve the double milestone of 3000+ runs and 300+ wickets in Test cricket.
Ashwin’s legacy extends beyond Tests, as he also featured in 116 ODIs and 65 T20Is, claiming 156 and 72 wickets respectively.
