Yousuf also expressed his desire to see his own Test record broken by a Pakistani player, and he believes Babar has the ability to do so.
“As a former cricketer, I would be delighted to see my record broken by a Pakistani player, and I have no doubt that Babar Azam has the potential to do so due to his exceptional on-field abilities,” he said.
Yousuf holds the record for most Test runs scored in a calendar year, with 1,788 runs scored in 11 matches at an average of 99.33 in 2006.
While acknowledging Babar Azam’s abilities, the former batting coach cautioned against putting too much pressure on the captain, as any disruption to his focus could have a negative impact on the performance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
