Australia Grants Visas To Palestinians After Temporary Ceasefire

CANBERRA – Australia has issued hundreds of visas to Palestinians facing Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) aggression. The Australian Foreign Minister confirmed 860 visas granted from October 7th to November 20th.

Although specifics on the number leaving the area are unclear, 65 individuals, aided by Australia, crossed into Egypt via Rafah border. Political observers appreciate Australia’s role in visa issuance despite potential criticism. The minister stated that those crossing are supported by consular staff in Cairo, with 127 Australians, permanent residents, and families having departed.

The government negotiated with the US, Qatar, and Egypt for assistance. Opposition raises concerns about visa procedures.
