Hazim Bangwar, known for his unique style and multifaceted career, has been removed from his position as assistant commissioner in Karachi, as confirmed by an official notification. The notification directs him to report to the Services and General Administration Department for further instructions.
Bangwar, who holds a degree in fashion design, has made a name for himself not just in administration but also in modeling, poetry, and fiction writing, contributing to his public appeal. His background includes Iraqi heritage from his mother, while his father, Akbar Ali Bangwar, served as a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police.
He gained significant attention after his appointment as assistant commissioner for Karachi’s North Nazimabad last year. His social media presence, where he shared updates about his role, attracted both admiration and scrutiny, with many sharing personal photos of him online.

Sana Tariq Syed, the assistant commissioner of Liaquatabad, expressed her support for Bangwar on Instagram, highlighting his artistic talent and dedication to public service. She emphasized the pride District Central takes in having him as a colleague.
Despite his accomplishments, Bangwar faced criticism regarding his fashion sense and perceived femininity, with some individuals mislabeling him as transgender. In response, he clarified that he identifies as male and condemned the negative implications of equating femininity with weakness. He noted that such attitudes are offensive to women and the transgender community, reinforcing harmful stereotypes.
Bangwar also announced that he would be attending Harvard University classes online, reassuring his followers that he would remain in Pakistan and continue his public service.
His educational background includes a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from AIU in London, as well as an LLB from another London university. He has collaborated with several international music artists, further showcasing his diverse talents.
