[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ISLAMABAD: As part of the government’s austerity efforts, the army has decided to hold the traditional military parade on Pakistan Day on a smaller scale in order to reduce costs, it was learned on Wednesday.
Every year on March 23, Pakistan Day is observed to honour the adoption of the Lahore resolution, which laid the groundwork for the creation of a distinct nation for Muslims in the Subcontinent
The joint military parade of Pakistan’s armed services is the day’s principal event. Unfortunately, the parade’s size has been reduced this year. The parade would take place in the Presidency on Thursday (today), rather than at Shakar Parian as usual.

According to accounts, only a few visitors had been invited to the march. They also stated that in order to save money, the Pakistan Army had scaled back the parade. A source further stated, “The Army stands with the nation in these trying times.”
On Thursday (today), the country will mark Pakistan Day with a commitment to ensuring progress, prosperity, and a strong defence of the nation. The federal capital’s 31-gun salute and the provincial capital’s 21-gun salute will signal the beginning of the day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
