During a press conference, President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Tariq Bugti announced that Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has generously arranged medical cards for the federation’s players, expressing deep gratitude for this significant support.

Bugti also revealed plans to establish a hockey academy in Islamabad, with ongoing efforts to restore the federation to its former glory. He strongly emphasized that political interference in hockey will no longer be tolerated and urged everyone to respect the integrity of the sport.
He further expressed disappointment that, despite providing opportunities, some conspiratorial elements continue to harm the national sport. Bugti also voiced concern that no players from the Sindh province are currently included in the Pakistan hockey team squad.
