Apple’s expected 2023 release date for its AR/VR headset is delayed.

According to the analyst, the company is resolving software concerns and could introduce the device in the second half of 2023. The next headgear was described by Bloomberg last week; it would utilise the “xrOS” platform rather than “realityOS.”

According to Kuo, it’s possible that xrOS modifications and glitches are the cause of Apple’s decision to put off shipping the headset.

He further goes on to state that in 2023, “fewer than 500,000 units” will be produced, making the product very specialised. Production unit estimates from other analysts have ranged from 800,000 to 1.2 million units.
