A suspect has been apprehended in Muzaffargarh, Punjab, in connection with a disturbing child pornography case, as police intensify efforts to combat rising child exploitation incidents. The arrest came after reports emerged of minors being abused, filmed, and exploited for distribution on the dark web.
Earlier this month, authorities dismantled an international child exploitation ring linked to a local gaming club, where children between six and ten years old were targeted. The horrifying abuse surfaced after one of the victims bravely approached the police. According to the FIR, the suspect used the footage to blackmail the children, and legal proceedings are now underway.

Civil society organization Sahil’s report “Cruel Numbers 2024” revealed over 3,300 cases reported this year alone, averaging nine children abused daily. Police continue their investigation while victims are being contacted for further legal action.
