Multan Sultans’ owner, Ali Tareen, has extended an offer to fast bowler Ihsanullah following a direct conversation, providing the young pacer with the opportunity to regain his fitness and form ahead of next season’s Pakistan Super League (PSL). Ihsanullah, who is set to represent JDW in the upcoming President Cup Grade 2 tournament, will also take advantage of Multan Sultans’ world-class facilities during his rehabilitation.
The 22-year-old bowler will undergo intensive training at the Multan Sultans Academy in Lodhran, guided by the team’s expert fast bowling coach, Catherine Dalton. Tareen emphasized that the Sultans are committed to assisting Ihsanullah in making a successful return to top form, with a focus on ensuring his readiness for the PSL next year. Tareen described Ihsanullah as an “asset” for both the team and the nation, acknowledging that players of his caliber are rare and require special care and protection.

Ihsanullah, who had previously expressed frustration after being overlooked in the PSL 10 draft, had initially announced his decision to retire. However, he later clarified that the decision was made in a moment of emotional distress and that he had no intention of retiring. Reflecting on his frustration, Ihsanullah shared that his statement was influenced by the disappointment of not being selected, but he remains determined to work hard and return stronger.
Tareen’s offer is a significant step in supporting Ihsanullah’s development, reaffirming Multan Sultans’ commitment to nurturing world-class talent and assisting the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in the bowler’s growth.
