Pakistani actress Aina Asif has spoken openly about the emotional impact of online criticism. In a recent interview, the 16-year-old star shared how harsh comments on social media affect her deeply.
Aina Asif said she often feels hurt by the trolling and sometimes breaks down in tears. “I accept positive criticism,” she explained, “but sometimes I cry after reading the negative comments.”
She added that being in the public eye at such a young age is not easy. “Being a public figure, you have to be prepared for criticism,” Aina said. “But the trolling really affects me.”
Aina Asif began her career as a child model before entering television. She made her acting debut in 2021 with the drama Pehli Si Mohabbat. Since then, she has gained fame for her roles in Hum Tum, Panjara, and Mayi Ri.
In Mayi Ri, Aina played the lead role of Qurat-ul-Ain “Ani” Habib. She was only 14 years old at the time. Now at 16, she is starring in the drama serial Parwarish, where she plays a more mature character.
However, Aina Asif shared that some people still question her age online. Others criticize her looks and compare her to cartoon characters. “People mock how I look,” she said. “As if being an actress means I must fit their beauty standards.”
She stressed that acting is about talent, not appearance. “You cannot change how you look,” Aina explained. “It’s unfair to be judged for that.”
Despite facing online hate, Aina remains focused on improving her craft. “I’m trying to grow as an actor,” she said. “But I also wish people were a little more kind.”
Aina Asif’s honesty sheds light on the pressure young celebrities face today. Her message is clear — criticism should never cross the line into cruelty.
