YouTuber Adil Raja has formally apologized on his social media platforms after a directive from the London High Court. The apology was issued in response to baseless allegations he made against Brigadier Rashid Naseer.
Court records show that Raja admitted he had no evidence or defense for the accusations. The High Court warned that failing to comply with its order could result in contempt of court and potential penalties, including the seizure of assets.
In compliance with the ruling, Adil Raja published a summary of the judgment on X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and his website. He acknowledged that between 14 and 29 June 2022, he made multiple defamatory statements against Brigadier Naseer. The summary included a link to the full judgment for public reference.
The High Court instructed Raja not to publish any statement directly or indirectly referring to Brigadier Naseer, his employees, agents, or anything that could identify him. Previously, Raja had accused Naseer of corruption, electoral fraud, and blackmail on his social media platforms.
Under the court’s order, Raja must pay £50,000 in damages to Brigadier Naseer by 22 December 2025. Additionally, he is required to cover £260,000 in initial legal costs. The apology must remain visible on all social media and website pages for 28 days.
Deputy High Court Judge Richard Spearman supervised the process, emphasizing the importance of compliance. The public apology reflects Raja’s adherence to the court’s directives and underscores the legal consequences of making unverified public allegations.
