[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Pakistan cricket team is filled with hopeful anticipation as they look forward to the potential return of leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed in the upcoming third Test in Sydney.
Sources indicate that Abrar had experienced a pinched nerve in his right leg, along with weakened muscles, prompting the administration to administer injections for his recovery. The team management is currently assessing his condition after today’s training session to determine his availability for the final Test match.
Although he missed the first two Test matches due to his right leg injury, Abrar appeared to be in good form during Monday’s practice. However, uncertainties surround his participation in the third Test due to his injury history. The initial discomfort in his leg surfaced during a game in Canberra, leading to his exclusion from the first Test.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reported improvement in Abrar’s condition, but he is not entirely symptom-free. Concerns linger about his ability to handle the workload as the primary spinner in a Test match, acknowledging the risks associated with playing him, as an injury could leave the team with only ten players.
Abrar is a crucial part of Pakistan’s squad for the T20I series against New Zealand, and the PCB recognizes his importance in both T20 and Test cricket.
At 25 years old, Abrar has played six Tests since his debut in December, securing 38 wickets so far. While his early career was marred by injuries, he seemed to be overcoming them before this recent setback.
In addition, Pakistan has enlisted Sajid Khan and Mohammad Nawaz as backup players. However, neither has made an appearance in this series thus far.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
