DG ISPR Rejects Claims of Afghan Taliban Cross-Border Attacks in Khost

ISLAMABAD – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, strongly refuted claims circulating on social media and international news suggesting that Pakistan conducted an operation inside Afghanistan last night.

During an informal briefing with senior journalists, the Pakistan Army spokesperson emphasized, “Pakistan conducted NO operation in Afghanistan. Whenever we take action, it is announced publicly.” His statement effectively dispelled widespread rumors and speculation that had spread across political and military circles.

When asked about the court-martial of former ISI chief Gen. (retd.) Faiz Hameed, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry reiterated that the process is entirely legal and judicial. He stressed that there should be no room for conjecture, assuring the media that any decisions taken will be communicated officially once implemented.

This clarification not only addressed misinformation regarding cross-border activities but also reinforced transparency regarding ongoing military and judicial matters. Lt. Gen. Chaudhry’s remarks have brought renewed attention to these sensitive national issues, underlining the army’s commitment to openness while maintaining national security protocols.
