Pakistan’s security forces carried out a major counterterrorism operation in Kurram, killing twenty-three militants reportedly backed and funded by India’s intelligence network.
According to officials, the operation targeted multiple hideouts after credible intelligence indicated imminent attacks planned to destabilise the region’s fragile security environment.
Troops engaged the militants during intense exchanges of fire, successfully neutralising all threats while preventing potential cross-border infiltration attempts into Pakistani territory.
Authorities revealed that the group had been operating in small cells, coordinating movements and receiving external support aimed at disrupting local peace efforts.
Recovered weapons and equipment suggested advanced training, further confirming foreign involvement in attempts to reignite violence inside Pakistan’s tribal districts.
Security forces have intensified surveillance in the region, reaffirming their commitment to eliminating terrorism and ensuring long-term stability across sensitive border areas.
