In a groundbreaking development, Pakistan has announced that one of its astronauts will join China’s upcoming space mission, marking a new chapter in the two nations’ strategic partnership. The mission will symbolize Pakistan’s entry into human space exploration.
According to official reports, the agreement was finalized between the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) and China’s space agency. The collaboration aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in science, technology, and space research.
This will be the first time a Pakistani astronaut participates in a manned space mission, a milestone hailed as a proud moment for the nation. The selected astronaut is undergoing intensive training in China to prepare for the upcoming launch.
Chinese officials expressed confidence that this joint venture will deepen mutual trust and pave the way for future joint space programs. The mission will also test new technologies for low-orbit communication and scientific experiments.
Pakistan’s government praised the initiative as a “giant leap forward” for its growing space ambitions. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated SUPARCO and called the development a symbol of Pakistan-China friendship reaching “beyond the skies.”
Experts believe this collaboration could inspire a new generation of Pakistani scientists and engineers, positioning the country among emerging players in global space exploration. The mission is expected to launch in the coming months.
