Aamir Khan’s Daughter Ira Shares Journey Of Mental Health Recovery

Mental health has become an important topic in today’s world. Once surrounded by stigma, discussions around emotional well-being are now gaining acceptance. Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan, has contributed to this shift by openly talking about her personal journey toward Mental Health Recovery.

On October 20, Ira shared an emotional update on Instagram, announcing that she had completed her therapy sessions after eight years of psychoanalysis. She revealed that her last session took place on October 13. Both she and her therapist felt confident in her ability to manage her mental health on her own.

Ira explained that she will continue taking medication but feels more capable of maintaining stability and balance in her life. She expressed gratitude for her progress, saying that while she is not “completely cured,” her depression is currently in remission.

In her post, Ira wrote, “After eight years of therapy, I’m finally done. My therapist and I agreed that I’ve learned enough to care for myself and focus on enjoying life.” She described completing therapy as a major step in her Mental Health Recovery journey and proudly called it her “graduation from therapy.”

The 27-year-old also emphasized that she remains open to returning to therapy if needed in the future. Her message highlighted that recovery is an ongoing process that requires self-awareness and consistency.

Both Aamir Khan and Ira Khan have previously spoken about their experiences with therapy and emotional well-being. In past interviews, Aamir shared that Ira inspired him to begin therapy and that it greatly improved their father-daughter relationship.
