CAA Concludes Aviation Security Course with UK Partnership

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has successfully concluded an internationally recognized Aviation Security Supervisor Course in collaboration with the United Kingdom Department for Transport (DfT). The training was held in Islamabad from October 13 to 17, 2025, and aimed to enhance the professional capacity of aviation security personnel across Pakistan.

According to a statement from the PCAA, the course focused on strengthening aviation security management and supervisory skills in line with international standards. The training was part of an ongoing cooperation program between Pakistan and the United Kingdom to improve aviation safety and operational efficiency at airports.

The course brought together aviation security officers, supervisors, and key stakeholders from airports across the country. It covered essential areas such as risk assessment, crisis management, and compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations.

Officials said the initiative reflects the PCAA’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security at all civil airports. The collaboration with the UK Department for Transport demonstrates Pakistan’s dedication to international partnerships that enhance aviation safety and management practices.

Participants praised the training for its practical modules and interactive approach, which helped them better understand their roles as supervisors in aviation security. The instructors from both Pakistan and the United Kingdom emphasized the importance of continuous professional development to ensure effective threat response and passenger safety.

The successful completion of the Aviation Security Supervisor Course marks another milestone in Pakistan’s aviation reform efforts. The PCAA continues to work closely with global partners to upgrade its training systems and align them with modern aviation security requirements.

In a broader context, Pakistan’s focus on regulatory reforms and institutional strengthening remains consistent. Recently, the Sindh High Court ordered private schools to provide free education to 10pc needy students, reflecting the country’s ongoing efforts to promote accountability and fairness across public and private sectors.

The CAA concludes Aviation Security Supervisor course in collaboration with UK as part of its vision to create a safer and more secure aviation environment. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint initiatives with international partners to ensure that Pakistan’s aviation standards remain aligned with global best practices.
