The Multan Sultans right-arm pacer made history by becoming the PSL’s first-ever emerging player to win the Player of the Tournament Award.

The 20-year-old produced an impressive performance with the ball in the event, picking up 22 wickets and assisting his team to the PSL final for the third year in a row.

During a press conference, the Swat-born pacer credited Mohammad Rizwan and other senior players in the squad for his learning experience during his first PSL season.

Ihsanullah expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah and dedicated the award to his father, who supported him throughout his journey, in an interview after receiving the award.

“My experience has greatly expanded. Alhamdulillah, I was able to perform for my team, the Multan Sultans. “I will try to maintain this level of performance in the future,” Ihsanullah Khan added.

It is the first time in PSL history that a bowler has won the Player of the Tournament Award, as the previous seven winners were all batters.

Ihsanullah has been named to the national squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
