Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged Afghan authorities to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could increase regional tensions. He said that peace and stability in the region depend on responsible behavior from all neighboring countries.

Bilawal emphasized that Pakistan wants friendly and peaceful relations with Afghanistan, but cross-border hostilities or militant activities cannot be ignored. He said both nations must engage through dialogue instead of confrontation to ensure long-term regional peace.

Highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to counter-terrorism, the foreign minister called on Kabul to prevent militant groups from using Afghan soil against Pakistan. He stressed that mutual respect and cooperation are key to solving security challenges faced by both sides.

Bilawal also pointed out that stability in Afghanistan benefits the entire region, including economic growth and trade connectivity. He added that Pakistan will continue to support peace efforts as long as they are based on sincerity and practical steps from all parties involved.

The statement comes amid growing tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where recent incidents have raised concerns over security and bilateral relations.
