Iran has said it is open to reviewing a “fair and balanced” nuclear proposal from the United States, signaling cautious optimism toward reviving stalled talks. Officials in Tehran stated that while no formal offer has yet been received, Iran remains willing to engage if its national interests are respected.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated that the country will not compromise on its right to peaceful uranium enrichment. However, it added that Tehran is ready to take confidence-building steps if Washington shows genuine commitment to easing tensions.

Iran also emphasized that trust must be mutual, calling on the US and its allies to lift certain sanctions as a show of goodwill. Officials said that continued economic restrictions without progress in dialogue undermine faith in any future deal.

Talks over Iran’s nuclear program have been deadlocked for months due to disagreements over enrichment limits, inspection rights, and sanctions relief. Tehran insists its nuclear activities are peaceful, rejecting claims that it seeks to develop weapons.

Observers say this latest statement reflects Iran’s strategic approach — keeping diplomatic channels open while maintaining pressure for sanction relief. The US, meanwhile, has said that any new agreement must include stronger verification measures.

Analysts believe both sides are testing each other’s willingness to compromise, as the geopolitical stakes remain high in the Middle East. Any renewed agreement could reshape regional stability and global energy markets.
