Major Martyred as Security Forces Eliminate Seven in DI Khan

A Pakistan Army officer was martyred, and seven terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in DI Khan. The operation was conducted in the Daraban area after reports emerged about the presence of militants involved in recent attacks on civilians and security personnel.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops successfully located the hideout, leading to a fierce gun battle. During the exchange of fire, Major Sibtain Haider, aged 30 and hailing from Quetta, embraced martyrdom while leading his men from the front. His bravery was praised by senior officials and citizens across the country.

The military confirmed that the killed terrorists were linked with a banned group responsible for several attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from their possession. The clearance operation is still ongoing to ensure the complete elimination of remaining threats in DI Khan.

Authorities assured that no civilian casualties occurred during the operation. Residents of nearby areas have been urged to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement. The Pakistan Army reiterated its commitment to wiping out terrorism and ensuring long-term peace in the region.

This latest encounter adds to a series of successful counter-terrorism operations in DI Khan and nearby tribal areas. It also highlights the constant sacrifices of security personnel working tirelessly to defend the country’s peace and sovereignty.
