The interior minister is part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s delegation visiting the US. The delegation has engaged in multiple high-level meetings, including talks between the Prime Minister and American leaders. Discussions covered regional security, economic relations, and broader bilateral cooperation.
Earlier, at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed regional peace and global justice. He stated that Pakistan offered India an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam attack, which India rejected, violating Pakistan’s sovereignty. He also highlighted former US President Donald Trump’s role in mediating a ceasefire and nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize for timely intervention.
On the global stage, Shehbaz Sharif called for urgent action on Palestine, stating that the region “can no longer remain under Israeli chains and must be freed with full force.” He also recalled Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism, with nearly 90,000 lives lost.
The Prime Minister stressed that operations against banned groups like TTP, BLA, Fitna-ul-Khawarij, Majid Brigade, and Fitna-ul-Hindustan will continue. He said, “The fight will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated,” highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to combating extremism.
Mohsin Naqvi’s meeting with FBI Director Patel reinforces the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and the United States on security and law enforcement.
